1	Question.	My macerator is not working, I would like it tested, without a large bill
	Answer	If your macerator is boxed in or obstructed, including been blocked by the loo, walls or plumbing, you may need to also see the next question, but for peace of mind our low fixed price option offers great value
2	Question.	My macerator is boxed in, doe's this add to the charge
	Answer	If your macerator is boxed in or obstructed making it difficult to work on, this could add to the cost of the repair. Our fixed price option is for the basic removal, repair and reinstallation of the macerator, some loo's and other obstructions are easily removed and if this is the case with yours we will endeavor to complete the work with no extra charge. You can also reduce the cost of the repair if you have the technical know how to remove the obstruction yourself, but you should be aware and warned that macerators work on high voltages and are nearly always near running water, there are also very sharp blades inside most macerators, you should not attempt to remove a macerator or the obstruction around a macerator if you do not have the necessary knowledge, skills, experience and tools.
3	Question.	My macerator does not pump waste water away but makes a humming noise
	Answer	If you can safely isolate your macerator (remove the fuse or turn it off) you should do so, and call a engineer, there is a good chance your macerator can be fixed easily and at a low cost, if you wait too long and leave the macerator humming, you take the chance of burning out the motor on your macerator, and then the repair bill would become much higher
4	Question.	My macerator comes on by itself
	Answer	Check your toilet overflow as not been activated, also check all other taps, overflows and waste pipes leading to the macerator are off and working correct and then check if this as correct the problem, if not you will need to call a engineer.
5	Question.	Water comes out of the side of the macerator or over the top of the loo
	Answer	If you can safely isolate your macerator (remove the fuse or turn it off) you should do so, and call a engineer, do NOT touch the local electrical isolation point if it looks wet or if you think water as been on or near to it.
6	Question	Can I remove the macerator myself
	Answer	No, under no circumstance should attempt to remove a macerator, you should be aware and warned that macerators work on high voltages and are nearly always near running water, there are also very sharp blades inside most macerators, you should not attempt to remove a macerator or the obstruction around a macerator if you do not have the necessary knowledge, skills, experience and tools.
7	Question	Water backs up into my sink/shower tray
	Answer	If the toilet still works ok, it is likely your macerator as something blocking a internal non return valve, you will need to call a engineer
8	Question	There is a smell coming from the macerator
	Answer	If you are using a dual flush toilet be sure to use the full flush, this will help to clear and clean the inside of the macerator, if this does not work your macerator may need a physical internal clean or other works, call a engineer
